Hi, I'm Alyssa.
I'm a lifelong entrepreneur, creator and community builder who has spent more than twenty years building businesses, brands and ideas.

I never planned to become an entrepreneur.
In my twenties, someone saw something in me that I couldn't yet see in myself. They believed I could build something of my own and encouraged me to take the leap.
I started a wholesale fashion agency, and a few years later, inspired by the birth of my daughter, I founded mini mioche, an ethical and sustainable children's apparel and lifestyle brand.
For seven years, I ran both businesses while raising my two young children, eventually selling my agency to focus on mini mioche. Over the years, the brand grew into a successful, multimillion-dollar business.
I loved what I was creating. The freedom, the community, the sense of purpose and possibility.
And looking back, I can see that much of what made it successful came from following my heart and doing things my own way.

Somewhere along the way, things began to change.
Despite everything I'd built, I still carried a story that I wasn't particularly smart or good at business.
As the business grew, I started feeling like I had something to prove. I began questioning myself more and trusting my own instincts less.
I felt like I didn't know how to keep up, so I started looking outside myself for answers, comparing myself to others and chasing what I thought success was supposed to look like.
Slowly, the love, creativity and possibility that had fuelled me gave way to fear, self-doubt and the feeling that nothing was ever enough.
And along the way, I began to lose touch with the very instincts and inner knowing that had helped me build the business in the first place.
A message I could no longer ignore.
In 2021, I had a profound experience that helped me access something I'd known deep down but hadn't been willing to admit to myself.
You don't have to keep doing this.
You have nothing to prove.
It's okay to let go.

It took another two years, but in 2023, I sold mini mioche and stepped away from the business.
For the first time in my adult life, I had no company to build, no team to lead and no idea what I was going to do next.

I thought I was building Joyride. It turns out Joyride was building me.
What began as a personal practice of music, movement, breath and meditation became something I felt deeply called to share with others.
I didn't know exactly what it would look like or where it would lead. But something within me kept saying, You have to do this.
I gave myself permission to experiment, to follow that knowing and see what might emerge.
Through Joyride, I learned how to shift out of my overthinking mind and into my body. And I started to realize that when my state changed, so did what I could access.
As I began leading experiences for others, I discovered this wasn't just happening for me. People were sharing how Joyride helped them reconnect with themselves and feel more joy, freedom and possibility.
And I came to understand that changing our state isn't just about feeling different. It changes what we're able to see, access and create.

Limitlyss isn't one thing because I'm not one thing.
It's an ecosystem of experiences, community and mentorship built around the belief that we have so much more available to us than our thinking minds alone.
When we learn to connect with and listen to our whole selves — body, soul, heart and mind — we begin to see ideas and possibilities we couldn't see before.
And I believe this matters because we can’t create something different by continuing to think, live and build in the same ways we always have.
After more than twenty years of building things, I've come to understand that our greatest potential isn't something we have to push harder to reach.
It's something within us that we can learn to tap into.
And the more of ourselves we learn to access and create from, the more Limitlyss we become.
